I was sooo excited this morning when the post came and this was in it for me all the was from Marica in Sweden

that are now on the tree helping to make it beautiful

Hi I have been playing with some air dry clay and decided to try and make myself some Christmas decorations here is what I have done  I can think of lots  of ideas for this stuff it is such fun to play with

very busy time

Hi All I am finaly back with a post .
Lots of things have been going on around here so I will just list some to give you an Idea of why I have not been blogging ok here we go
DD Amanda and Her BF Luke got engaged YAY
Been Sick myself, kids and hubby all at different times
my youngest brother moved to town with his girls [he is a single dad 4 girls ]
My a mum Joan  came to stay  [some of you know I am adopted this is the mum I grew up with]
Lots of end of year school stuff for the kids and tafe stuff for myself
sewing for the SSCS I cant show pics yet its a secret shhh
supporting hubby with end of year things for the club he is in .
 I have had a go at making some christmas decorations and will get some pics to share later
so there you go I have been busy
the pic above is a garage sale find for $2 I am collecting  framed flowers tappestry I have 3 now
I will hope to blog more now and  may even have some time to do some sewing

Whats in a name

The lovely Dawn have a post on her blog about how we got the name for our blog so I thought I would let you all know how Highland hen came about.
First My Dh has called me chook for many years .Some of you know I was adopted and when I found my birth family it turns out they are from Scotland hence the highland part and to top it of my  birth family name would have been Cockrill so the hen part came from that .So that is how I became Highland hen The pic is a beautiful hen ScottishNanna dressed for me.

Here are a few things that I should be working on  It is a slow process but I will get there in the end.

 And here is what I made for lunch the other day YUMO scone dough pizza base with boconchini cheese and basil so easy and sooo good Thanks Dee for letting me in on this .
