Hi All well I have not been around my computer has been playing up and I have only just been able to add pics  also I have no email at the moment don't know why but hope to get it sorted soon

Last month DH and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and these are the beautiful flowers he had delivered to me.  We are planning to have a few days away at a later date .

I have been doing  little sewing but have not taken any pics yet.
if is feeling a lot like spring at the moment and it has made me want to get the spring cleaning started so that is the plan for this week .hope you are all getting time to do what you love

we spent some time on the weekend in the garden  some new plants got planted and I just had to get a few pics of some flowers my new header is one and this is another I just love how vibrant the colours are .

Playing with scraps

Hi all well I have been playing with scraps today and thought you might like to see.  I have also  had a rearrange in the sewing space and put a cutting table in there so that makes it easier for me to cut things and leave them out  .so to start with the scraps are one and a half inches square and I am sewing them into nine patches I found the little boxes of scraps at a garage sale last year for $2 each they are stuffed full .I don't know how big this quilt will get but I am just going to keep sewing until all the scraps are gone It will be a single Irish chain quilt when it is done and I am thinking about hand quilting it am I crazy ?

 

 

 

 See the word quilt on the cutting table Ds and DIL to be gave them to me for my birthday along with a few other goodies I am trying to decide how to finish them but I am happy with them as they are for now

 so now you have a little glimpse of where I sew  hmmm I need to sort the bookcase I think.

Gift for a Baby shower

 

I am going to a Baby shower next weekend and decided to make a gift for the new Bub so here is my first Nappy Cake I think it looks cute

something I am working on

Here is a quilt I am working on it is a Bonnie K hunter pattern .I have made this top out of my stash   I love how it is looking and I think I will be making some more scrap quilts very soon. I have now got it together with a thin border  and just need to get it quilted and bound  so that is the plan for the rest of the week .

Hope you are all getting time to do some sewing

News about my dear sister is not good her cancer is terminal she is having chemo to give her some more time she is so brave and is handling it very well better than the rest of us I think .I do not live near her so I cant just drop in and see her but I  want to get down to see her soon.
