we are home safe from our trip . It was so nice to see  our DD and SIL to be again I thin we all had a good time even if it was very busy  .Here are some pics of our family at the engagement BBQ

A big adventure

I am excited to say  we are going on a big Adventure now for some it will  not a big deal but for our family it is huge  Our darling Daughter Amanda And the fab man in her life Luke are engaged and we are going to MELBOURNE for the party  . now I must say I have only ever flown once 22 years ago in an aerial ambulance so to say I am a bit nervous would be an understatement and our children have never flown   so they are very excited  .Hubby has flown a  few times so he knows what to expect  so if any of you travelers out there have any tips for me I would love to hear them  and also any things in Melbourne I should not miss bearing in mine we have a Tiny budget .I will be taking heaps of pics to show your all when we get back  just think in less than one week I can give my big girl a hug

Thrift find

Oh dear I don't know if I am very lucky or just crazy!

I was at a local thrift store yesterday and found a bag full of fabric and on the outside it said Quilt cut out and started $5. well what was I to do leave her there no way  so I payed my money and home she came BUT  there is not enough of one of  the  fabrics sooo I need to work out what to do either look for a matching fabric or unpick what is done and use a different fabric. What would you do Ideas please ????? I think it will be a lovely quilt when it is done

First finish 2012

My beautiful Family gave me a new phone for Christmas so I needed to make a new phone case for it

I grabbed an old sunglasses case[ the soft ones] cut it to fit and covered it with some beautiful fabric I recycled from a skirt I found at a thrift  I am really happy with how it looks and it is a nice safe holder for my phone

singer Machine case

A couple of years ago one of my best friends and her hubby bought a small farm . When they moved in they found an old singer machine case in one of the sheds .It did not have a machine with it but the draws had a lot of old lace buttons and other things in them. My friend is not into sewing like I am so I was offered the case of course I jumped at the chance as I had been wanting one for a one time .It has taken My Dear Hubby just over a year to do his magic and do it up for me .I did not get any before pics but here it is now It was very neglected and unloved before but now it looks beautiful

I have sat it in my front room until I can decide where it will live

I love them all the little topper is just beautiful and the decorations for the tree are hanging now and will be added every year to remember the wonderful friendships I have found through Blogging and the little felt goodies will be used in some scrapbooking in the future .
