Cotton

Just had to share the simple joy if finding vintage cotton on wooden reels at the opp shop the lot for $2  . I am happy with that 

What I'm working on

This is some fabric I was given so now I'm playing with string blocks it's fun and uses up the odd sized strips sorry the pic is dark but you can get the idea hugs Beth 

quilt update

Ok so as you know I was making a quilt for my beautiful Sister who is fighting Cancer the quilt was finished and given to Tricia just after Christmas  I think she loved it

 this is the label I made for her

 And here is our Mum  Mary {Scottish Nanna } My Beautiful Sister Tricia  and Myself  all under her new quilt .And I am happy to say Tricia is doing Well .Hugs Beth

  

Ok I have a confession

I love old sewing machines I have a few and this is my newest one she sews a beautiful straight stitch .i am planing to do some piecing on her soon .

Im still here

Well I have not been blogging lately I have been on facebook! I thought I would hate it for a long time I stayed away .But then I found some Quilting and crafting pages so Yes now I'm hooked .I will still keep this blog and try and start posting again and just for interest here Is a pic I took .

 This is a thistle flower I took the pic late last year I just love the colour .

Craft room intervention

Oh dear.  I have such a mess in the craft room fabric and patterns everywhere I think I need to clean and sort . Please tell me I am not the only one who gets in such a mess  here is a pic of my mess
