a friends daughter is having her year 12 formal so I was lucky enough to make her corsage this is not a very good pic but you get the idea and she loves it so that is all that matters I also did the button hole flower for her partner  ,I have been doing a little hand quilting and a bit of planning for a new quilt I would like to make . hope you are all getting to play with something fun hugs Beth

On the weekend I got to take some photos of my beautiful Grandson Sebastian  I took a lot of photos but these are 3 of my favourites  ,He is such a happy little man and loves running around the farm getting into everything .

Hi all hope anyone who still checks in is doing well I have been a bit busy but never seem to achieve much lol .Our grandson had a birthday and is a year old now and walking everywhere he is a joy .our youngest son turned 21 and we had our 28th wedding anniversary .I have been trying to get some ufos finished but its a slow process .I think I need to get back into this blog and post more it is good for me and I can then show the things I am finishing to you all .ok so that is it for today but I am going to go out with the camera again and try and get a few shots of our new lambs may ever take a few quilty pics as well . hugs Beth

A finish

I have been working on this quilt on and of for nearly 6 years and am happy to say it is done yay and I love it .This is my first serious attempt at hand quilting and I am happy with how I went still a lot to learn but I think I will be doing more .

Well today I sat down and did the quilting on Sebastian s quilt and I am so glad I did I think it looks good .all I need to do now is trim bind and label it

I think it's time I got back into the swing of things . I have been quiet for to long so I am going to try and post more and also see and quilt more . I saw an idea I think it was on YouTube about using a oven liner/BBQ mat on your sewing machine bed to make the quilt glide easer so a lovely friend got me one and I have stuck it in place with painters tape . The practice piece looks good so I am going to try and get Sebastian's quilt quilted this week  wish me luck 

lost mojo

I am finding this year very stressful as things beyond my control  have been having a rather nasty affect on my general health .I have developed high blood pressure and the migraines I had as a child have made a come back ,I find myself wishing I had the energy to sew I have so many projects I could work on but just feel blocked .I hope  this will be a passing thing and as I resolve the stress in my life that the mojo comes back .I will leave you with a pic I took a few months ago in my friend Becs beautiful garden.
